Sports Dietician, Adventurer
Alex is a professional weekender who knows how to combine work, play, trail miles
and dawn patrols. She was born and raised in Ohio, but has always felt a deep
connection to the Pacific Northwest. After graduating with a Master’s degree in
Nutrition, Alex moved to the west (best) coast in 2013 to work as a Registered
Dietitian. She spent some time in Bellingham, WA, navigating her way throughout
the North Cascades and then moved to Portland, OR, where she works for a private
practice as a Sports Dietitian, offering nutrition counseling to local endurance
athletes, such as ultramarathoners, triathletes, alpinists, and ski mountaineers.
Passionate about helping athletes perform at their highest levels, whether on the trail
or in the mountains, Alex is also known to utilize her days off, and isn’t afraid to send
it. When she’s not bagging peaks, she’s either training for an upcoming ultramarathon,
skiing off mountain summits before work, or climbing granite slabs across the Pacific
Northwest. You’ll rarely find Alex outside without her dog, Peanut, and is a true
advocate for getting dogs into the wild with their humans.
